IPL Auction 2019: 5 Players With Shocking Selling Price

There were many upsets and surprises at IPL 2019 auction that took place on 18 December, 2018 in the Pink City of Jaipur. There were upsets, surprises, normal buys and few unsold players as well. Manoj Tiwary, the first player for the auction, did not find a buyer. Yuvraj Singh(“The Sixer King”), who still holds the record of being the most expensive player in the history of IPL with a surprising price of Rs 16 Crores bought by Delhi Daredevils now Delhi Capitals, did not get buyer in second round of the auction.

The first name that comes to everybody’s mind is Varun Chakravarthy. A total of five franchises bid for him. But finally Kings XI Punjab wins the bid and bought him for Rs 8.40 Crores. Yet to make his debut in domestic cricket, had a tough road to glory. He will have a big responsibility to do justice with his selling price.

The Next player who stunned audience with his selling price is Colin Ingram. Till now he had played 3 IPL games, and all the three for Delhi Daredevils (Delhi Capitals), in which he has scored just 21 runs. That is most likely not a bar on which Delhi Capitals appraised him. His ongoing endeavors in different classes brought about numerous establishments for him. Delhi Capitals spent Rs 6.40 Crores for his 202 T20 match experience.

The third player who surprised audience with his selling price is SHIVAM DUBE. Shivam is an all-rounder who bats left-handed and bowls right-arm at medium pace. The fourth player in this category is Prabhsimran Singh, just 17 years old wicketkeeper batsman from Punjab. He has became one of the most astonishing buys at the IPL 2019 Auction after being purchased by Kings XI Punjab for Rs 4.80 Crore. Royal Challengers Bangalore bid first, but soon Kings XI Punjab joined the race too. Mumbai Indians bid him for Rs 3 Crore but at the end Kings XI Punjab got Prabhsimran for Rs 4.80 Crore.

The Fifth player is Mohit Sharma, who played for the Kings XI Punjab in tha last IPL season has now returned to the Chennai Super Kings for a price of Rs 5 Crore. Mohit Sharma, 30- year-old, picked up 109 wickets in 110 T20 matches. Again he will play under great MSD.
